Legendary former world champion Mike Tyson named his toughest opponent in his boxing career.
In the Full Send podcast, “Iron Mike” was asked who was the strongest opponent in his career, and he named his old rival Evander Holyfield.
“Holyfield was my toughest opponent. He was great in his prime, but I was the best in an era with great fighters,” Mike said.
Tyson and Holyfield faced each other in the ring twice. In 1996, Holyfield defeated Tyson for the WBA championship title, and a year later, a rematch took place during which Mike bit off a piece of his opponent’s ear.
Tyson’s fights with Holyfield are among the most notorious and sensational events in sports history.
Mike Tyson was supposed to have a boxing match against Jake Paul on July 20 in the USA. However, the fight was postponed due to health issues with “Iron Mike.”
