“Golden Bachelorette” Joan Vassos is sharing her favorite picks for the new “Golden Bachelor,” and she’s naming names.
The second-ever “Golden Bachelor” has not yet been named, but many fans expect the choice to come from the ranks of Vassos’s rejected suitors. Vassos, 61, the first “Golden Bachelorette” in history, ultimately chose Kansan Chock Chapple for her final rose, and they both discussed the “Golden Bachelor” in a joint interview with Us Weekly.
Vassos was a contestant on the first-ever “Golden Bachelor” season with Gerry Turner, but she went home early on her own volition to help her daughter.
“That is the hardest question we get asked. You would think all of these relationship questions are hard, but that is the hard one,” Vassos told Us Weekly in the interview of who should follow Turner. “I’m not trying to be evasive at all. I cannot hone in on one person because there are qualities about so many of the men — I would dare to say, almost all of the men would make really good Golden Bachelors.”
But then she did single out a few of the men from her season by name.
“Mark [Anderson] and Charles [Ling] would be phenomenal, but there are so many others people aren’t thinking about,” she told Us Weekly in the interview.
She also named runner-up Guy Gansert, an emergency room doctor. “I’m not sure Bachelor Nation knows Guy well,” Vassos said to Us Weekly. “He has an emotional intelligence beyond his years.”
Chock Chapple Also Weighed in on Guy Gansert
“He’s better looking in person. I still don’t think his teeth are real, but he’s a good-looking guy!” Chapple told Us.
In the interview, Vassos also floated the names of Dan Roemer and Gregg Lassen as potential “Golden Bachelors,” calling them “amazing” and funny.
However, Chapple had a different idea, pitching Jordan Heller and Keith Gordon.
Joan Vassos Revealed That She Is Playing Matchmaker
Vassos also revealed in the interview that she has started playing matchmaker between contestants on the “Golden Bachelor” and “Golden Bachelorette.”
“I’ve already set three of them up — we have love connections that are brewing right now. And I have two more that I’m looking at and working on,” Vassos told Us. “We have to see how that is going to unfold. There are already five guys from this season [now] involved with somebody. They came off of this and they were popular guys, and I’m not surprised that some of them have girlfriends already!”
She did not identify the new potential couples, but Us Weekly dropped the names of Jack Lencioni and Susan Noles who were “sitting together at the finale” and Leslie Fhima and Jordan Heller.
