Kim Zolciak Opens Up About Her Relationship with Jax Taylor: "We've Talked Quite a Bit

Turns out Kim Zolciak did, in fact, invite Jax Taylor to dinner.

This was confirmed during the July 31 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where Kim addressed Jax’s recent comments about their relationship.

“Jax told me at The Valley [Season 2] reunion he’s very close to you,” host Andy Cohen told Kim. “He said you hit him up to have dinner.”

“Jax and I have talked throughout the years, but because of the divorce, we’ve talked quite a bit [more] through that,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum said, referring to her and Jax’s respective marital splits. “Yeah, he was gonna be in Atlanta and I said, ‘Let’s have a drink… and then dinner.’ And then we didn’t end up doing it.”

Kim and Jax made headlines last month after fans got a peek at Part 1 of The Valley Season 2 reunion. At one point during the special, Andy asked Jax which Bravolebrities — outside The Valley and Vanderpump Rules casts — he was closest to.

“Who do I talk to the most? Everybody,” Jax said. “I’ve been doing this for years. So, the last person I probably talked to is Kim Zolciak. I talked to her yesterday.”

“Oh, really?” a visibly surprised Andy replied. “What do you talk to Kim about?”

“She just asked, because I’m coming to Atlanta, she’s like, ‘Do you want to meet for dinner?’” Jax said. “So, I’m gonna have dinner with her… A little bit of everybody.”

Although the Jax-and-Kim friendship initially surprised many fans, it makes sense when you consider their similarities. The two have spent more than a decade living in the public eye, allowing cameras to document everything from their weddings, new families, and, more recently, divorces.

Kim and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, separated in 2023 and are reportedly “nowhere near” finalizing their divorce. Jax and Brittany Cartwright confirmed their split in February 2024, about six months before the latter filed for divorce. Brittany spoke about the legal battle during The Valley Season 2 reunion, claiming Jax was intentionally dragging out the process.

“Hopefully it’s happening soon,” Brittany said about the divorce finalization. “[Jax] called me the other day and said that he didn’t know if he was gonna get kicked off the show, so he was prolonging it in case he needed to get alimony from me.”

Jax admitted Brittany’s claim was “somewhat true.”

“That’s verbatim what you said to me,” Brittany fired back. “Don’t act like you didn’t say that to me.”
