While navigating her second trimester, The Valley cast member revealed a new development in her pregnancy journey: daytime fetal movement. Kristen touched on the topic in a February 25 Instagram video, shortly after filming a confessional for The Valley Season 2.

Pregnant Kristen Doute recalls her baby's "hard" kick

“Today we were doing The Valley interview bites and she kicked me in the bladder so hard,” Kristen said about her bun in the oven. “I literally went, ‘Ooh!’ And she never kicks during the day. She’s kind of doing it right now, but it’s always when I’m laying down at night, like, flat on my back.”

The Vanderpump Rules alum said the kick was especially forceful, so much so that she thought she would have an accident.

“She kicked it, like, hit my bladder,” Kristen continued. “I don’t know why, it’s just like a weird fun sensation, but I literally thought I was gonna pee my pants. Kind of like when I cough. Or sneeze. Or laugh too hard. Or do anything. Anyway, it’s pretty fun. Motherhood.”

Hours before the update, Kristen gave fans another peek at her growing baby bump. She posted a photo of her rocking a metallic Show Me Your Mumu dress with an empire waist, spaghetti straps, and a plunging neckline. She credited her glam and hair to Anais Cordova and Emma Isabella.

Kristen spoke her quickening experience during the February 21 episode of her Balancing Act podcast. She told special guest Rebecca Fox Starr she became worried because she hadn't felt any fetal movement at a stage when most mothers start reporting kicks.

“Well, I didn’t feel her kick when Google told me that that’s probably when you first start feeling kicks,” she told the Mommy, Ever After founder. “So that’s why I have the fetal doppler. Is the heart beating? Can I find the heartbeat? I should go for an ultrasound every single week because then I know she’s moving like crazy town batshit crazy town.”

Rebecca reassured Kristen that she wasn’t “crazy,” as many first-time moms experience the same anxiety and fears of the unknown.

“I’ll tell you, with my first pregnancy… I was anxious, I would say, but not debilitatingly so,” she told Kristen. “I was just nervous. I really wanted it. So I was really careful…. From the beginning I was scared, I wasn’t just anxious, I was scared for whatever reason, we all have our own reasons why things hit us a different way.”

Kristen Doute felt more "connected" to her baby after she felt it kick

Kristen said she experienced guilt after feeling disconnected from her baby, but that all changed earlier this month.

“As I felt her kick in the last week and a half, I just started feeling connected again,” she revealed. “Like [the] body stuff I didn’t know was going to affect me until it did. And it’s not too bad. I’m not freaking out ‘cause I [understand] I am a vessel. I am here to create life, especially a little bit further along as I am now and I’m feeling a little bit of kicks and things like that.”
