Thankfully for Las Vegas Raiders fans, they didn't have to sit through another bad performance from their team in Week 10, as the Raiders were on a bye. But let's not get too comfortable, because Las Vegas will be back in Week 11 when they take on the Miami Dolphins. It goes without saying that won't be an easy game.
There was something positive to take from the Raiders' bye week other than the three coaching staff changes the team made. Las Vegas was actually able to move up in the 2025 NFL Draft order despite being idle.
Rapoport: Raiders fire OC Luke Getsy after Week 9 loss 'GMFB'
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports the Las Vegas Raiders fire offensive coordinator Luke Getsy after Week 9 loss.
According to Tankathon, the Raiders moved up one spot to No. 5. The only teams in front of them are the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, from No. 1 to No. 5.
The Raiders moved up the one spot because of a combination of wins by the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. Here's a look at the complete top 10 going into Monday Night Football.
2025 NFL Draft order: Top 10
- Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8)
- New York Giants (2-8)
- Tennessee Titans (2-7)
- Cleveland Browns (2-7)
- Las Vegas Raiders (2-7)
- Miami Dolphins (2-6) - Play on MNF
- New England Patriots (3-7)
- New York Jets (3-7)
- New Orleans Saints (3-7)
- Carolina Panthers (3-7)
Bear in mind, the Dolphins play tonight, and a loss by them would move the Raiders back to No. 6 because the Dolphins have a weaker strength of schedule.
Teams with the same record are sorted by strength of schedule, from lowest to highest.
If there's a silver lining to this dreadful Raiders season, it's that the team is putting itself in position to grab one of the top quarterbacks in next year's draft, whether that be by sticking and picking or trading up.
The problem with the current order is that the Giants, Titans and Browns could all be in the market for a quarterback next year. Regardless, there's still a half of a season left and a lot can happen between now and then.
But whatever happens, the Raiders need to keep losing.
