Wedding bells will soon be in the air for a Love Is Blind alum. Mallory Zapata, who appeared on Season 2 of the reality TV show, recently announced to her fans that she'd become engaged.
Mallory Flaunted Her Fiancé On Instagram
This week, Mallory posted news of her engagement on social media, sharing photos of her proposal on her personal Instagram account. Her fiancé is a man named R. Limas, and from the images Mallory shared with fans, it appears that he popped the question to her while the pair was on a trip in Tokyo.
Beneath the image of beautiful cherry blossoms, Mallory shared a heartfelt caption about the engagement:
Chapter 36 just started but I'm ready to spend forever with you. Thank you for making this the most unforgettable birthday full of adventures, happy tears, laughter, and lots of love.
Other photos in the carousel feature the two kissing, as well as a closer look at Mallory's engagement ring, a marquis-shaped stone. In the comments of her post, several other Love Is Blind alumni also offered their congratulations to the happy couple.
Mallory Has Been Quiet About Her Relationship
In another one of her posts from earlier this year, Mallory shared a series of photos of the two of them together, pairing it with a heartfelt caption in honor of his birthday. She paid tribute to him, referring to him as her "favorite person in the world."
Happy birthday to my favorite person in the world. I love you and life with you has been such a fun adventure. I can't wait to celebrate more birthdays together.
Reading Mallory's post now feels like foreshadowing for the romantic proposal that was to come.
During her time on Love Is Blind, Mallory was momentarily engaged to another cast member, a man named Salvador Perez with whom she'd connected in the pods. While the two were going strong early on in the season, once they got out into the real world, their connection seemed to lack something unlike before. Mallory in particular felt that Sal wasn't able to show up for her emotionally in the way that she needed in a serious partner, and at times things felt more friend-like between them than romantic.
Ultimately, however, it seems that things worked out for the best. Had Mallory not been turned down at the altar, she wouldn't have gotten the chance to meet her Mr. Perfect and live out her romantic dreams the way she truly wanted.
