Mike Tyson Becomes a 'Price Fighter' with New Website Aimed at Beating Back Inflation - Retail TouchPoints

Mike Tyson is taking on perhaps his toughest opponent ever — inflation. The famed heavyweight has introduced a new crowd-powered online shopping platform called Price Fighter in partnership with ChaChing.

Price Fighter will give shoppers up to $6,000 cash back per year, a maximum of $500 per month, paid every week directly to their card or bank account, when they shop on the online marketplace.

“Growing up, money was tight for my mom and me; having an extra $500 a month would have been truly life-changing,” said Tyson in a statement. “Americans are getting hit with rising prices, making everyday living harder than ever. That’s why I’m proud to introduce Price Fighter powered by ChaChing — to pass along as many savings as possible to those who need it most.”

The Price Fighter platform works the same way as ChaChing, by redirecting the fees that larger shopping platforms like AmazonGoogle and Meta usually keep back to consumers. Merchants that list their products on Price Fighter will still pay a fee to the platform, but the majority of that fee is converted into a cash back purchase incentive for shoppers. The more people who shop the same brand store on Price Fighter, the larger the cashback incentive will be for purchases, creating a unique crowd-powered buying model.

“Mike Tyson is the perfect partner to lead this fight,” said Max Sugrue, Founder and CEO of ChaChing in a statement. “Together, we’re recycling the excessive advertising costs that drive up consumer prices directly into real financial relief — benefiting the people who need it most. This is a movement that finally helps everyone across America defeat the cost-of-living crisis.”
