Mackenzie McKee is navigating a concerning pregnancy complication.
The Teen Mom star, who is expecting twin daughters with fiancé Khesanio Hall, shared that she was diagnosed with preeclampsia after gaining 20 pounds within two days.
“Over the past 48 hours my body has taken a rapid turn of preeclampsia symptoms," the 30-year-old said in a video shared on her Snapchat May 28, per Us Weekly. "I have gained 20 pounds in 48 hours of water weight."
Mackenzie—who also shares kids Gannon, 13, Jaxie, 11, and Broncs, 7, with ex-husband Josh McKee—detailed the physical changes she's experienced as a result of the condition. "So I was looking at my feet, ankles and legs and I just started seeing them get bigger and bigger and bigger throughout the day," she said. "And then it got to a point where I can’t walk."
That led the reality star to visit her doctor, where she was officially diagnosed with preeclampsia, which can cause sudden weight gain, as well as swelling and high blood pressure, per the National Library of Medicine.
However, Mackenzie said a doctor told her the level of her preeclampsia "wasn't bad enough" for her doctors to suggest she deliver her twins early.
“I know 31 weeks is soon," she added, "but I’m also proud that we made it this far and very confident that the babies will be fine."

As she counts down the days until she gives birth to her and Khesanio's first kids together, Mackenzie is doting upon her older three.
"My Princess just graduated 5th grade," she wrote on Instagram May 28, alongside a photo of Jaxie holding a certificate and a bouquet of flowers. "I unfortunately could not make it. But I am so proud of her and ready to watch her blossom in this world. Love you Jaxie Taylor."
