Scheana Shay offered an extensive list of famous men she’d dated in her just-released memoir, My Good Side.
In addition to revealing if she’s spoken to Andy Cohen, 57, about his friend, John Mayer, 47, whom she’d engaged in a “throuple” with years ago, and sharing that Tom Sandoval, 44, gave her former husband, Mike Shay, ecstasy at their July 2014 wedding, the Vanderpump Rules alum and current star of The Valley confirmed she’d hooked up with Jesse Metcalfe, 46, Shemar Moore, 55, and several other actors and athletes as she spoke of taking a break from celebrity romances.
“I said to myself, okay Scheana, you’ve tried dating (or at least hanging out and hooking up with) all of these celebrities — Jesse Metcalfe, Eddie Cibrian, John Mayer, Shemar Moore, Josh Hopkins, Shane West, Jesse McCartney, JC Chasez, Adrian Grenier, Ricardo Chavira, William Tell, two actors from The Notebook, and a few NFL, NBA, and MLB players, to name a few — and that’s not really working out,” Scheana wrote in her book, via Us Weekly. “It’s time to switch things up and date someone who’s under the radar: I didn’t want any of the fanfare or complications that came with being linked to someone famous. I wanted to be with someone who was grounded.”
Describing John as “very much a gentleman,” and noting that he was into phone sex, Scheana admitted that she’s run into her former hookup on a number of occasions.
“One time I awkwardly gave him a hug … The last time I saw him, it was a handshake,” she told the magazine.
Scheana also copped to dishing on John to Andy.
“Andy and I have had a few conversations [about it] on some Watch What Happens Live commercial breaks,” she shared.
As for Jesse, Scheana explained that after crushing on the actor, who she noted was “still” a “dreamboat,” in college, they began an “intense” romance.
“It was a lot, really quickly, but he was an absolute sweetheart,” she gushed.
Scheana then admitted to being a fan of “drop-dead gorgeous” Shemar due to his time on The Young and the Restless. Years later, she ran into him at a Super Bowl party, and they ultimately hooked up at his place.
“He catches my eye, I catch his,” she recalled.
While Scheana noted that it was “such a different time” for going out in Los Angeles, sharing that social media has changed how celebrities interact because of privacy fears, she suspected that if she weren’t married or a mom, she “couldn’t get the guys [she] used to get.”
“I don’t know how I did it in my early 20s — people don’t believe me!” she confessed. “Any night you could be at a club and like, ‘Oh, I’m at Leonardo DiCaprio‘s table.’ And then Cuba Gooding Jr. walks up. Now Justin Timberlake‘s here — and I’m just the girl at the table.”
Also in her new book, Scheana spoke of Mike being on ecstasy on their wedding day.
While looking back on their big day, Scheana said she requested Mike not drink so they could remember all that occurred. And while he agreed to abstain, she ultimately began to notice that he was “acting weird.” Then, after he failed to perform a song he wrote for her, Scheana recalled Sandoval suggesting he sing it once they returned to their casita after the reception.
“Back at the casita, as Shay was doing his thing, his eyes were completely glazed over, and he was unsteady on his feet, like he was about to fall down at any moment,” Scheana wrote, via Decider.
At the time, Scheana was “confused” and “didn’t know if he had been drinking” in secret. Weeks later, after being offered “little blue pills” at Sandoval’s house, “which [Sandoval] said were ecstasy,” Scheana realized what had gone down on her wedding day.
“I’d never done ecstasy before and immediately said I wasn’t interested,” Scheana shared. “Shay, appearing perplexed, said, ‘Wait, that looks like the pill you gave me at the wedding. I thought it was Adderall.’ We were both in shock.”
“Shay didn’t intend to get f*cked-up that night. He just wanted an Adderall to stay up later,” she explained. “Of course, I couldn’t help but wonder why Shay had to take anything at all, even Adderall.”
Despite divorcing due to Mike’s addiction issues and an emotional affair, Scheana said she and her former spouse are in a “good place” today.
“He is an incredible person with a huge heart and love for his family, and I know he’ll make the right girl very happy one day,” she wrote.
