The Wrap recently shared a clip from the upcoming season finale where Grant and his father, Robert, discuss his mindset leading up to his biggest decision yet. Grant admits that he's feeling "overwhelmed" with the idea of letting someone down. Grant's father tells him he needs to go with his heart, but that's easier said than done on The Bachelor since "somebody's going to be hurt" no matter what happens.
Grant and his father's relationship has been discussed during The Bachelor season 29, since he revealed that his dad struggled with addiction and wasn't always present. Grant has repeatedly said that his childhood informed the type of family he wants, where both parents are present and supportive. It seems Grant and his dad have grown closer now that his dad is sober, and his dad tears up when he says that he's lucky to have a son like Grant. "Anybody...who ends up with him [has] got a good catch," he admits.
