The Golden Bachelorette fans stunned by latest shock elimination as fans predict he'll be the next Golden Bachelor

ABC's The Golden Bachelorette left fans stunned on Wednesday as Joan Vassos eliminated fan favorite Mark Anderson.

The 57-year-old Anderson - the father of The Bachelor's Kelsey Anderson, who is engaged to Joey Grazadei - was sent packing after the 61-year-old Vassos told him she felt something missing between them.

'You've grown so much and your heart is mending but I didn't see me in our conversations. I didn't feel like I imagined

Many fans reacted with outrage on social media after the elimination, which left just Chock Chapple, 60, Guy Gansert, 61, Jordan Heller, 61 and Pascal Ibgui, 69, with Keith Gordon, 62, and Jonathan Rone, 61, also sent home.

A number of fans also felt the elimination was a surefire indicator that Mark will now be named the next Golden Bachelor.

Mark, 57, an Army veteran from Leesville, Louisiana, had been confidently talking to the other men about his plans for showing Joan, 61, a private school administrator and widow from Rockville, Maryland, around his hometown when she showed up unexpectedly at the mansion.

Joan pulled Mark aside to talk before the rose ceremony. She told him that she felt that they had a great date and she loved to hear how healing the house has been for him. Joan started crying telling him how emotional it was for her when she heard him say he felt his ex-wife Denise visited him at the house as a hummingbird.

'I felt that we bonded in such an important way,' Joan said. 'You made me feel so comfortable and I felt so supported. You're such an amazing man.'

But Joan said she just felt that something was missing between them. She said she couldn't sleep all night.

'You've grown so much and your heart is mending but I didn't see me in our conversations,' Joan said. 'I didn't feel like I imagined an us.'

Mark said he understood and was okay.

'I know this journey is for you to find the one that's right for you,' Mark said. 'I think you will.'

Mark said his experience on the show has changed him and felt he was leaving the show a better human being and a better father.

'I'm going to miss you Joan,' Mark said.

'I'm sorry,' Joan said. 'You made a huge difference in my heart.'

Mark then told the other men that he was leaving. He cried telling them that he wished them all the best. They cried and hugged him goodbye.

'I'm very sad,' Pascal Ibgui, 69, a salon owner from Chicago, said. 'He was my best friend.'

Mark then packed up his things. He said it had been an incredible journey and 'unfortunately I wasn't what Joan was looking for.'

Mark left hopeful that one day he would find love of his own.

When the show opened, former Bachelorette Trista Sutter, 51, stopped by to give Joan a pep talk about trusting the process.

A date card arrived at the house and it was for Keith Gordon, 62, from San Jose, California, and read 'I want a love that gets better with age.'

Keith was excited and met Joan who was standing beside a helicopter. Both of them said they had never been in a helicopter before. They flew together over the mansion and the other men waved to them from the pool.

'Do I like that she's out on a romantic date absolutely f***ing not,' Charles 'Chock' Chapple, 60, an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, said in a confessional.

They landed at the Babcock winery where they did a wine tasting. Keith told Joan that he hadn't talked to his ex-wife for a long time because of addiction his family had to separate from her. Joan said she knew that he was such a good father and had to save his daughters.

'This was a good day,' Joan said.

The two kissed.

'Joan makes me feel content,' Keith said in a confessional.

Back at the house, Mark wondered if he was doing the right thing being on the show when he saw a hummingbird. He cried telling the men that his wife Denise used to have a hummingbird feeder and the birds would eat out his hand. He said she told him to go out and find a new love.

'I stopped in my tracks and this hummingbird comes up,' Mark said. 'It's like she's there and she's saying this is right.'

A date card arrived at the house. It was a group date card and it read 'Our love has no time to spare' and it was for Chock; Pascal; Guy Gansert, 66, an ER doctor from Reno; Jordan, 61, a sales manager from Chicago; and Jonathan Tone, 61, a sales manager from Riverwoods, Illinois. Mark's name wasn't on it which meant he would get the final one-on-one date.

'I couldn't be happier,' Mark said.

The men arrived at a bowling alley. Joan was excited about having a light hearted fun date with the men before hometowns. Joan had bowling shirts and shoes set aside for them.

'This is definitely not Gucci or Prada but it's okay,' Pascal said in a confessional. 'But it's okay. Blue looks good on me.'

Joan showed Pascal how to hold the ball. Jonathan bowled a strike and then so did Chock. Chock sat right behind Joan and asked if he could just take her home.

'It was in your face Chock and Joan like a couple,' Jonathan said in a confessional.

The other guys didn't like how he was monopolizing her time.

'I'm crazy about her,' Chock said in a confessional. 'I don't care what they are thinking or doing. That's their business. I'm just worried about Joan and myself.'

When Chock got up to bowl, Guy slid right next to Joan. Jonathan shared old pictures of him and his family with Joan. Guy said in a confessional he really wanted to bring Joan home to his family in Reno, Nevada.

Pascal also wanted Joan to meet his children.

'For the first time since the end of my marriage, I believe I could be falling in love,' Guy said in a confessional.

The men talked about how Chock wasn't giving anyone the chance to get close to Joan. Chock and Joan both told each other they didn't want to go home to an empty home.

'I see a beautiful future for us,' Chock said. 'I just see us together.'

Chock said he felt confident that he would see Joan in his hometown in Kansas. Joan told them she had a great day and then said goodnight.

The next day, Mark was excited to go on his one on one date with Joan. Joan picked him up in a red Porsche convertible. The other men were supportive of Mark going on the date.

'I have not felt this good for the last six and a half years,' Mark said.

'Keep smiling Mark, you have a beautiful smile,' Pascal said.

Joan was excited to go on the date and drive him to a yacht. She said in a confessional she needed to find out if they had a connection. They rode off together on the boat into the sea.

'This is so great!' Mark said.

Joan and Mark sat together on the boat but didn't seem like they had anything to talk about. Joan and Mark did a scavenger hunt on the boat to help them learn more about each other. Joan told them that they both lost their spouses. She told him that it felt good to have someone to talk to.

'It's not easy,' Mark said.

Mark told him about the sign about seeing a hummingbird at the house. Joan said she understood the memory of their spouses never goes away.

'I would love for Joan to meet my family,' Mark said in a confessional. 'Last time they saw this was between me and their mom.'

'I thought today was a good day,' Joan said.

'There still seems to be something missing,' Joan said later in a confessional.

At the final rose ceremony, Joan gave roses out to Pascal, Chock, Guy, and Jordan. Jonathan and Keith did not get roses and were sent home.

' I feel really bad,' Joan said.

Joan walked Jonathan out. She told him that he had made an imprint on her heart.

'I'm just so grateful,' Jonathan said.

'I love you my friend,' Joan said.

'I'm devastated,' Jonathan said in a car. 'I just wish the best for her.'

The Golden Bachelorette will return next Wednesday on ABC.
