NBA Finals: Steph Curry asserts greatness as Warriors send message - Yahoo Sports

The Golden State Warriors are only two years removed from an NBA championship. Today marks the two-year anniversary of Stephen Curry's Game 3 masterpiece vs. the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.

JUNE 10 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO WARRIORS WINNING DAYS

On this day in NBA history, the Golden State Warriors evened the 2022 NBA Finals 2-2 against the Boston Celtics following a masterful performance from Stephen Curry. Legacy is all the talk in sports discourse nowadays, and it only makes sense for Curry to have a legendary Game 3 performance to add to his already impressive career.

Curry scored 43 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and finished with seven converted three-point shots.

June 9 WARRIORS RECEIVE POOR REPRESENTATION IN CLIPPED

It's one thing for a show to have bad acting, but terrible casting sticks out like the FX mini-series Clipped. The show is about the final year of the Donald Sterling-era Los Angeles Clippers. In one episode, the Clippers play the Golden State Warriors in a playoff game, which the Clippers nearly boycotted due to Sterling's racist voicemails.

The actors who play Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are so bad that you have to see it to believe it. Watch Austin Rivers roast the casting selections here.

JUNE 7 EXEC HIRED The Golden State Warriors recently announced that Jon Phelps has been named the team's "senior director, basketball strategy and team counsel.

The Warriors offered the following info ...

"Phelps joins the Warriors after spending the last 10 seasons with the Detroit Pistons. Phelps most recently served as senior director of basketball strategy (2022-24) and was a strategy analyst for two seasons (2020-22). He began his basketball career with the Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, serving as the director of basketball operations (2014-16) prior to being elevated to general manager (2016-2020)."

So ... Phelps is a basketball ops guy and a lawyer. And probably a cap guy, too.

JUNE 6 LAKERS STEALTH JOB? Despite previous reports of media darling JJ Redick skipping the line to the front of the Los Angeles Lakers bench, the Buss family deployed a smokescreen. ESPN reports that two-time NCAA champion Chris Hurley, head coach of the UConn men's basketball program, is "accelerating talks with the Lakers."

Reportedly, Hurley was always the top choice amid the Lakers' search for their next head coach. The really important question is, what does LeBron James think of Hurley? It seems he aligns with the Los Angeles front office going by his commentary via X: "He's so DAMN GOOD!!! Along with his staff. Super creative with their [offense]. Love it."
