Kristen Doute is engaged to her boyfriend, Luke Broderick, after two years of dating.
Broderick proposed on a boat in Maui, Hawaii, Us Weekly reported on Friday. “It was a total surprise,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum told the outlet.
The James Mae founder further revealed she blurted out some expletives as soon as she saw Broderick pull out the ring, which her good friend, Kyle Chan, helped design.
The 14K white gold ring has a 4.27 carat Emerald cut diamond with a half carat worth of diamonds on the band and hidden halo, which represents the “love around the center diamond, ‘Kristen.’”
“I knew from the moment we met that Luke was my person,” Doute said. “I am so excited to continue this journey together, now as fiancés.”
The “Valley” cast is currently vacationing together as they film Season 2 of the Bravo reality show.
Doute, 41, previously sparked engagement rumors when she posted a sweet photo of Broderick kissing her forehead while she placed her left hand on his chest last month.
However, fans quickly noticed that Doute only had a ring on her pointer finger and not her ring finger.
Doute and Broderick met in June 2022 at a wedding, where she served as her best friend’s maid of honor and he was a groomsman. They began dating shortly after but kept their romance under wraps before going public that December.
Fans were introduced to Broderick when he starred alongside Doute on Season 1 of “The Valley,” a “Pump Rules” spinoff that premiered earlier this year.
The couple faced a hurdle early on in their relationship when they butted heads over where they wanted to live, as Broderick divided his time between his home in Colorado and Doute’s place in Los Angeles.
“Everything I’ve built up in life, everything I’ve worked for has been accumulating in Colorado. We also have a better circle, I think of people — true, down-to-earth, good people,” he said in a confessional on the show.
Meanwhile, Doute maintained that living in LA was “important” to her and that she “can’t leave California tomorrow or next year or the year after.”
She eventually won the battle, and the pair moved into an apartment in Valley Village, Calif., in March.

Doute and Broderick suffered a heartbreak in their relationship when she revealed in November 2023 that she had a miscarriage while six weeks pregnant.
“It was just a really unfortunate thing that happened to us, and I know that we can try [again] fairly soon. And I think that we’re very hopeful to have a very healthy pregnancy the next time around,” she said on their podcast, “Balancing Act,” at the time.
Broderick agreed, telling Doute, “I just know that I have to be your rock here, and I want to. I want to be there with you, for you, and help get over these sad times and get back to more happy times because I know it won’t be that far off.”
By May, Doute told People they were “trying” to conceive again.
She was previously in a seven-year relationship with her “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Tom Sandoval before she moving on with another castmate, James Kennedy, whom she dated from 2014 to 2015.
Doute’s four-year tumultuous relationship with Brian Carter also played out on “Pump Rules” from 2016 to 2019. She then dated Alex Menache from 2020 to 2022 before meeting Broderick later that year.
