Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has always made his thoughts clear about defensive end Brandon Graham.
The longest-tenured Eagle in team history shouldn't hang up his cleats even with his previous comments that 2024 would be his last season playing football.
Following Graham's disappointing torn triceps injury that cost him the remainder of the season during Philadelphia's 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams, plenty of former and current players on the roster have shared their thoughts on the veteran's career.
In the case of Fangio on Wednesday, the defensive play-caller had a different message to share for Graham.
"He can’t retire on an incomplete year,” Fangio said.
Arguably the hardest part about Graham's injury, other than the fact he has been a fan favorite for decades, was the fact that the 36-year-old edge rusher had been playing dominant football over the last few weeks.
In Philadelphia's win over the Rams, Graham recorded three quarterback hits, a sack, two tackles for loss, and even a pass defended. He was Philadelphia's best defensive player throughout the night.
The former first-round pick out of Michigan has openly acknowledged that a decision on his future has not been made at this time. If the Eagles can go on a run themselves without him, it could push the veteran to return for a 16th season.
Whatever the case, Fangio is expected to return next season to the franchise, and it's clear he thinks Graham still has plenty left in the tank moving forward.
