Mahomes told Payton after the game, “You got one,” talking about Nix. The rookie has been impressive this season with limited weapons at his disposal, and Mahomes thinks the future is bright in Denver.
Payton told the media, “That means something coming from him.”

Through 10 weeks, Nix has been able to amount to 1,968 passing yards and ten touchdowns. While he may not have the greatest individual stats, he has shown that he has the ability to lift his team to victory and be able to make big plays in crucial moments.
