Lindsay Hubbard has finally found the perfect partner, who will make her all the sandwiches she wants. The Summer House cast member gave birth to her first baby — a daughter named Gemma Britt Kufe — with her mystery boyfriend on Dec. 8. While she has been absorbing as much baby time as possible and taking care of her daughter, her boyfriend has been taking care of her.
Since giving birth, Lindsay has been breastfeeding baby Gemma, reflecting on her labor and delivery, and enjoying the foods she could not eat while pregnant. One of these foods? Sandwiches. "You have nooo idea how long I've been waiting to eat a good sandwich!" Lindsay captioned a photo, taken of her in the hospital after giving birth, while eating a sandwich.
Lindsay has continued to eat sandwiches in the days since Gemma arrived, with her boyfriend (whose identity she keeps private) even making her one. She took to her Instagram Story this week, where she posted a photo of her latest sandwich, while sitting in her living room watching TV.
"Didn't even have to ask him for it," she captioned the photo, showing the sandwich comprised of toasted bread, lettuce, cheese, and meat.
Details on Lindsay Hubbard's history with sandwiches
Longtime Summer House viewers know that Lindsay's relationship with sandwiches, and, well, relationships go way back. Viewers watched in Season 5 as Lindsay had some major tension with her then-boyfriend, Stephen "Stravy" Traversie, throughout the season. This escalated up until one fight when Lindsay asked him an iconic question: "How many sandwiches have you made for me?"
Sandwiches have since continued to follow Lindsay through her relationships. And it seems like Lindsay is very happy in her current relationship and very pleased with his sandwich making skills.
What did Lindsay Hubbard crave during her pregnancy?
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Lindsay did, in fact, crave sandwiches during her pregnancy. She opened up about all of her cravings during an August interview with People when she was in her second trimester.
"Now, in my second trimester I'm craving — it's kind of cliché for me — but like, sandwiches," she said. "In my first trimester I craved fruit. I could not get enough. Pineapple, apples, bananas, grapes. I didn't know if it was like my body that was craving vitamin C or whatever, but yeah, I couldn't get enough."
Details on Lindsay Hubbard's "hospital chronicles" after welcoming baby
Lindsay took to her Instagram account on Dec. 17, where she posted a series of photos, taken before, after, and during her labor with her daughter. "Hospital chronicles," she wrote in the caption of the post about the day she gave birth to her baby.
"What a beautiful journey to finally meet our baby girl," she continued. "When it was 'go time,' it felt like such an intimate, spiritual, ceremony with just us — filled with so much hope and excitement for this new chapter. A special thanks to our doctor and the team of nurses who took incredible care of us during our hospital stay!!! Until next time..."
